Vacation Bible School Closing Worship

Amazing Grace Lutheran Church’s Vacation Bible School saddled up for some Western fun on the East Coast.

From Monday, July 12 through Friday, July 16 Amazing Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church hosted their 4th annual Vacation Bible School (VBS) at Caroline Forest Elementary. Each day, young cowboys and cowgirls discovered new friends while building a powerful relationship with their Savior and forever friend, Jesus Christ.

More than 60 children enjoyed a week of digging into the Word and discovering the truth about Jesus and the great exciting things He does for them and then shared that message in song with their parents at the closing worship service on Sunday, July 18th. With over 130 people in attendance, friends and family listened to God’s Word, learned about God’s love, and then responded in joyful song to God above. The worship service also included the Baptism of a young adult. What joy to watch God’s Word connected to plain water convey the blessings of forgiveness, life, and salvation. With the Apostle Peter, we joyfully acclaim, “Baptism saves!” (I Peter 3).

Following the worship service attendees enjoyed sandwiches provided by Subway and drinks supplied by Sonic. Everyone enjoyed the opportunity to meet and greet those in attendance.

Lord willing, next year’s VBS will be held in Amazing Grace’s own facility Construction will start soon. Updates can be found here: http://www.amazinggracelutheran.com/node/88
